About Chelsea Hedrick

I’ve been very close to where you are.

For years, I’ve showed up. To the meetings, to the deadlines, to the obligations. I pushed through the pain, fatigue, and discomfort because stopping has never been an option for me. I was building a career and still am, 15+ years in medical product development, leading complex projects, solving hard problems, and helping patients. I was very good at it.

What I wasn't good at was taking care of myself. Because nobody had given me the tools to do it — and honestly, my care team didn’t have a lot of time to help me figure it out either.

When I finally understood what was happening in my body — the chronic inflammation, the nervous system dysregulation, the hormonal cascade that was quietly dismantling my body, energy, and focus — I was extremely frustrated. Not because the information didn't exist, but because nobody had connected the dots for me.

So I did it myself. I invested in endometriosis women’s health coaching for myself and it transformed my life - my energy, my pain, my awareness of my symptom triggers, and over time it built my resilience. So much so, that I reinvested in training in how to share this with other women in need.

I am a scientist-engineer who has trained with the Integrative Women's Health Institute — one of the most rigorous women's health coaching certifications available.

Further, I’ve studied Women’s Health and Wellness at Harvard Medical School Executive Education in order to provide evidence-informed, practical, personalized coaching support for women.

Alize Women's Health is the practice I wish had existed when I needed it. The word Alize means trade winds — a steady, reliable force that moves you forward. That's what I aim to be for every woman I work with.

What health coaching is and is not

IS

  • Supports you in clarifying your vision for health and wellbeing.

  • Partners with you to create realistic, achievable goals.

  • Encourages lasting behavior change through small, sustainable steps.

  • Helps you identify barriers and develop strategies to overcome them.

  • Provides accountability, encouragement, and support.

  • Uses curiosity and powerful questions to help you find your solutions.

  • Celebrates progress rather than perfection.

  • Recognizes that wellness is about the whole person—mind, body, purpose, relationships, environment, lifestyle, etc.

  • Helps you build confidence and self-efficacy so you can become the expert on your own health.

IS NOT

  • Health coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

  • A health coach does not:

    • Diagnose medical or mental health conditions.

    • Prescribe medications or supplements.

    • Replace your physician, therapist, dietitian, or other licensed healthcare providers.

    • Tell you exactly what to do or make decisions for you.

    • Judge your choices or expect perfection.

    • Focus on quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions.
